At a density of 12,000 g/m2, CCT is comparable to ceramics and natural stones but outperforms Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) floors in rigidity and impact resistance by more than 400%. Our proprietary blend of organic materials combined with our patented manufacturing process yields the highest density and most stable core in the flooring industry. Absolute Dimensional Stability
Since CCT’s RCCB is 100% organic and PVC free, this product leads the industry when it comes to floor dimensional stability resulting from heat exposure. Due to this patented manufacturing process and proprietary blend of materials, CCT is expansion free, eliminating the need for large expansion joints in any size room. Much like ceramic tiles and natural stone tiles, CCT’s fire resistance is superior when compared to any PVC-based or wood-based flooring products. * An expansion gap of 3mm is recommended where the floor tile meets the wall.
Guaranteed not to Cup, Curl or Delaminate
Another benefit of the 100 % dimensionally stable RCCB is that the floor will never warp or cup from manufacturing stresses embedded in the board, thus guaranteeing a flat, defect-free surface for the life of your floor. Other multilayer floors, like WPC and SPC, use core boards are made with the previous generation extrusion technology. Their extrusion processes freeze or lock in heat and cupping stresses into the boards – stresses that are gradually released in the form of cupping over time through heating and cooling cycles. Technically this performance is measured in what is known as the Long-Term Stability Test, exposing the floors to heat as directed by the flooring industry standard EN-434. CCT’s performance is more than 40 times superior in this area when compared to PVC- based floors like WPC products, and 14 times better compared to SPC.
Best-in-Industry Joint Connection Technology
A final benefit of the best-in-class density of CCT’s core is the strength and durability of the click connect and joints. This strength and density combined with the Flex Core Technology eliminates breaking or fracturing of the joint connections when handling and installing, and provides superior holding strength. WPC manufacturers’ use of foaming agents to introduce tiny air pockets in its core yields a more brittle, damageable board putting the connection joints at risk of damage and failure. When the CCT's click connect is compared to a WPC click using a drop dart impact test method, the CCT's core click is 10 times stronger.
